Staff Wellbeing
Wellbeing at Turner Schools
At Turner Schools, we believe our people are our greatest asset and that a happy and healthy workforce is the key to achieving our vision of transforming children’s futures, empowering families and strengthening communities. Our primary focus this year has been on creating a culture where staff feel supported, valued and wellbeing is firmly on the agenda across the Trust.
Our Wellbeing Provision
We have developed our wellbeing provision to offer a comprehensive range
of wellbeing support to our staff through the following:
Wellbeing & Workload charter which pledges our commitment to reducing workload and supporting wellbeing
Wellbeing on the Trust Agenda - Annual People Plan
Private healthcare through Benenden which gives staff access to medical and mental health support as well as employee assistance
Mental Health First Aiders (wellbeing champions) across the Trust to provide mental health support
Wellbeing focus groups/Employee voice
Staff survey which is run twice a year to gain valuable feedback from our staff
Occupational Health & Counselling provision
Professional supervision for staff who are dealing with our most challenging safeguarding issues
Social committee - creating a sense of family and community across the Schools
How we monitor staff wellbeing
Staff feedback is incredibly important to us, we hold a bi-annual staff survey to capture the picture of employee engagement across the Trust. The results of our staff survey are used to help shape our approach to wellbeing, based on continually improving our provision. In addition to our survey, we hold regular employee voice groups to ensure we have our finger on the pulse of wellbeing across the Trust.
Workload & Wellbeing Charter
At Turner Schools we use the power & strength of working as a Trust to ensure staff workload and wellbeing are a top priority for us. Our workload and wellbeing charter sets our our committment to staff on how we will acheive a positive and healthy workload across our Trust.
Wellbeing Annual Report
We Produce an annual wellbeing report for all stakeholders which enables us to look at national comparitors across the section and ensures we are transparent about how we are monitoring our wellbeing provision.
