Staff Benefits

Staff Benefits

At Turner Schools, we believe that our people are our biggest asset and therefore we offer a wide range of benefits that support us in recruiting, retaining and ensuring we are providing the best support for staff wellbeing.

Salary & Pay scales

The Trust operates a fair and equitable pay policy. We offer competitive salaries for both teaching and non-teaching staff based on the type and level of role you do. We conduct regular internal and external benchmarking exercises to ensure we are paying staff appropriately and equitably.

Flexible and Family Friendly Approach

We know it can be challenging finding the right work-life balance. We want the very best people to work in the Trust and so we want to support flexible working.  We are able to consider flexible and family friendly working opportunities to include part-time, term-time working and job-sharing arrangements.

Counselling and Wellbeing support

We are proud of the wellbeing support for staff and offer a comprehensive package of wellbeing provision which can be found on our Staff wellbeing page. Staff Wellbeing

We understand the changing picture of an increased need for mental health support for both our staff and pupils and therefore our staff can access free and confidential counselling support through their Benenden Healthcare plans which provides access to 24/7 telephone counselling services from day one of their memberships. We also partner with a range of localised services who can signpost access to further support services.

We also offer free and regular counselling supervision services to our staff who are dealing with emotionally challenging situations within their roles to ensure we are providing the best level of care and wellbeing support to them.

Recognition & Awards

 Vision & Values Awards

We are proud of the commitment and achievements of our staff here at Turner Schools and recognise their achievements through our peer-led vision and values awards. Every nominated member of staff receives a gift voucher and two winners drawn at random receive our ‘golden ticket’ prize which entitles them to half a day's leave.

Innovation Prize

We encourage innovation throughout our practise at Turner Schools  and our Innovation Prizes reward staff who provide innovative and bold solutions to the problems we are facing through creative problem solving, calculated risk taking and bold solutions.  This is an exciting opportunity for any member of Team Turner to apply for a £500 award for the successful delivery of an innovation project. We are looking for exciting ideas to help drive our key priorities, generate new approaches and support our staff with their ongoing professional development.

Car Benefit Scheme

It is a key priority for the Trust to ensure a sustainable and greener future for the future generations and therefore we have launched a car benefit scheme which allows you to drive away a brand-new electric vehicle. The scheme is administered via salary sacrifice for a fixed monthly payment.

Electric Charging Points

We have a number of electric car charging points located in our car parks across a number of our Trust Schools. We are looking to increase the number of charging points available over the course of the next two years.

Cycle to Work Scheme

Our Cycle to Work scheme enables employees to purchase brand-new bicycles and cycling equipment via salary sacrifice, making tax and National Insurance savings.

Subsidised Meals

We provide subsidised lunches for all staff across the Trust, where you purchase a hot or cold lunch option for a low price. We also offer free lunches for those staff who choose to sit with and support our pupils over the lunch period as a way to foster positive relationships between staff and pupils and support our pupils' development through positive interactions.
