Louise chose to stay in her home county to train as a teacher, completing her undergraduate and masters degrees in Kent. After a few years very happily working as a classroom practitioner, Louise contributed to securing an Outstanding Ofsted judgement through her excellent leadership of Mathematics. At this time Louise also gained experience of coaching other teachers in local schools through the National Support School network.
Louise then moved into a senior leadership role as Assistant Principal, SENCo, and then Head of a school requiring significant improvement. She worked to transform the school culture and quality of education, securing pupil outcomes well above national in all key stages and a Good outcome at the following inspection. In 2019 Louise began working for Turner Schools, mentoring a newly appointed principal and, more recently, driving school improvement across the primaries in the trust through her work leading the Primary Improvement Team. Louise was especially proud to lead one of the Trust primaries through its recent Ofsted inspection, securing a Good judgement for the first time in the school’s history.
Louise’s particular areas of skill include primary school leadership, curriculum design and implementation, and mathematics teaching and learning. Louise helped to establish and is trustee of a charity helping to alleviate child poverty in South India, enjoys days out with her young family and creative cake baking.
Having completed her BA Honours in Primary Education at Canterbury Christchurch University, Hannah started her career at Egerton C of E Primary School in 2012. Over time, she developed her teaching practice in a range of year groups, and when the 2014 National Curriculum was introduced, was responsible for developing a highly successful Computing curriculum. Having demonstrated her leadership skills, Hannah went on to lead Maths across the school, which played a key role in securing a ‘Good’ Ofsted judgement.
With ambitions to further develop her career, Hannah joined the Turner Schools Trust in 2018, as the Vice Principal of Morehall Primary. Here she continued to model excellent teaching, whilst developing her passion for curriculum design.
Hannah has worked across all of the primary schools in the Trust and has been a key player in establishing the Maths, Geography, History and Science primary curriculums, which have now undergone two ‘Good’ Ofsted judgements.
Alongside her work as Curriculum Lead, Hannah is passionate about promoting strategies for pupils' active engagement in lessons and enjoys inspiring and supporting teachers with developing engaging, fun lessons.
