The successful candidate will work primarily as a class-based TA, working closely with the class teacher to facilitate excellent learning opportunities for the children. Small group and individual support will also be an aspect of the role, including leading a daily reading group. At Martello we recognise the crucial importance of securing strong reading skills at an early age: experience of supporting children’s early reading and phonics development would be advantageous, though not essential as training will be provided. It would be helpful to have an idea of candidates’ curriculum strengths and experience, so please include this on your application form. We welcome visits to the school and are confident that when you step into our school you will want to be a part of what we do! We are Martello; we are proud!
The successful candidate(s) will have to meet the requirements of the Job Description and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.
Turner Schools is committed to the protection and safety of its pupils. Any job offer will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check, two references and proof of qualifications.
We reserve the right to withdraw the advert if a suitable candidate is found before the close date.
