Challenge and Community Committees

Responsibilities:

  • To support the vision of the Trust
  • To uphold Trust policy
  • To monitor local standards
  • To act as critical friend to the Principal or Executive Principal
  • To represent the view of and engage with the local community
  • To monitor pupil premium catch-up and sports premium
  • To support appraisal/dismissal of Academy staff excluding Principal/Executive Principal if appropriate
  • To oversee safeguarding procedures at local level
  • To review and approve school-specific policy
  • To serve on sub-committees as required
  • To govern admissions/exclusions/complaints
  • To be a champion for the Academy
  • To receive and respond to pupil and community voice

Reporting:

Reports to board of Trustees through approved minutes or via Trustees who are members of the C&CC.
